Astrology
means, literally, "the word of the stars". Early men
looked to the stars for their omens. Astrology is a
long-established method of exploring ourselves, our
relationships and our place within the world. It works by
taking a look at the significant environmental influences
operating in a particular place at a given time – as
expressed through the horoscope in the symbolic
relationships of the heavenly bodies. Astrology, the
science of the stars, can give us insight into all manner
of situations, from the personal to the political and from
the most intimate to the most mundane.
An ancient system that reveals your past, present and
future, Vedic astrology has flourished in India for
several thousand years. Also known as "Science of Light"
this Hindu astrology is renowned for its spiritual depth
and accuracy in predicting life events. Vedic astrology is
a scientific study and application of the language of the
heavenly bodies, as it reflects an astrologer's perception
of the placement of the planets in the constellations.
These heavenly bodies are determined on the basis of
astronomy and mathematics and are mapped in the form of a
horoscope. Their specific position in the horoscope
indicates specific happenings in the case of individuals.
Horoscope is the construction of the basic placement of
planets at time of birth in a pre-decided format called
the birth chart.
The main factors affecting the horoscope of any individual
are date of birth, place of birth and exact time of birth.
According to Hindu astrology all heavenly bodies, whether
it’s the sun, the moon, the planets or stars, influence
the terrestrial phenomena, or indicate such phenomena by
their various configurations. The variations in their
constitution determine the variations in the events on the
earth as the correlation between the two is very strong.
Indian astrology is the study of the subtle energies,
which make up our world. While evaluating a horoscope
under Indian astrology, nothing more is looked beyond the
blending of energies which can combine in an infinite
variety of ways. As energetic beings, each one of us is
comprised of a combination of energies, which makes up the
sum total of our being. Each of us is created by a
particular combination of planetary gravitational pulls
exerted in different degrees, from different angles, and
in different quantities. The multitude of possible
combinations account for the variety of personalities,
mentalities, physiques, as well as emotional and
intellectual constitutions.
Indian astrology is popularly known as Jyotish or Vedic
Astrology. A major branch of astrology practiced in India
is based on a sidereal zodiac, rather than a tropical one.
It uses the twelve constellations from Babylonian, but
also has an additional "lunar" zodiac based on 27 lunar
constellations or Nakshatras. These constellations are
based on the approximate number of days that the Moon
takes to complete a cycle relative to the stars. The
Vimshottari dasa system is a predictive used in the Indian
astrology and begins with the Moon's position through the
lunar signs. The Moon in these lunar signs is also used in
Muhurta, the Indian method of choosing the auspicious time
to perform any job.
Why Indian Astrology, How can one not accept and praise
the scientific world of Indian astrology? India has given
us so many great astrologers, who were also eminent
mathematicians, philosophers & physicians. The study of
time is best done through Vedic astrology rather than with
atomic clocks, as Vedic astrology exist since the time
carbon, uranium or potassium dating was not invented.
Indian astrology is the oldest system of astrology in the
world and differs considerably from the western system.
Indian astrology uses the actual constellations of stars
as seen in the sky. Using this system gives a completely
different chart as compared to the one used by western
astrologers, as the Indian astrology is based on the date,
place and time of birth. Indian astrology also differs
considerably from the Chinese horoscope which is based on
the year of birth and believes that the year of birth
indicates a certain phase or aspect of sixty year circle
of time. Therefore you may find yourself born in the year
of dog, horse or rat or even a dragon. Hence people who
are born in a particular animal year share certain common
traits just like people born in common zodiac do. Indian
astrology is highly authentic and its predictions are
believed to be the most accurate. Being based on the
actual constellations of stars, this is the most widely
used system of astrology across the world.
DEATH AND ASTROLOGY
Here are some myths about death and astrology. And please
don't go around using them as death indicators because
they really won't work and are just doing the rounds to
fool you!!!
People die on a transit. Many think that their 'death' was
arriving shortly in the form of a heavy transit from
Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. No one can die on
transit. It has to be backed up in the progressions,
firstly. And there may be 'other' indicator present, such
as an eclipse, plus a transit. These two or three pieces
to the recipe for Death must be in place before something
serious and major happens. Nothing major happens on a
transit. Everything major occurs with progressions. Saturn
is a death indicator. And no, Saturn isn't the only death
planet indicator. It is one of many, as you will see. Any
and all the planets, including the Uranian ones, can be
involved in a death. Transits in the 8th house are
responsible for deaths. Just because you have a transit,
progression or eclipse in your 8th house (known as the
house of sex, taxes and death), does not mean you're
goanna check out either. Any house in the natal chart, any
of the twelve, can be implicated and involved in your
death.
Hard aspects can lead to death. No it isn't just hard
aspects such as a conjunction, square, in conjunct or
opposition that can put you into another dimension. So can
soft aspects such as a sextile and trine, too. And there
isn't one aspect that is a 'death aspect', either.
Eclipses really kill people. Eclipses are not going to
kill you. In and of themselves, they never will. In order
to die, you must have progressions set up. An eclipse
might be a trigger for this to occur, but that is all.
Lately, Chiron is getting a myth started on this asteroid
that it's Death's Door. No, it isn't. A Chiron transit can
certainly bring transformation--but it doesn't mean dying
physically. The Moon's Nodes are the major indicators of
dying. Not really. They may or may not be implicated in a
death. They are found to be 'active' in potential physical
death only about 30% of the time--and that's not a very
high statistic to count on.
Manglik Dosh
Manglik is a common word today. But who is Manglik,
astrologically or what is Manglik Dosha is not known to
common man. However nearly all believe this myth. During
matching of Horoscopes of a boy and a girl before marriage
people consult Pundits, which results into rejection of
most agreeable match of boy and girl and mental pain to
love birds.
* The myths related to the Manglik Dosha are: If one of
the horoscopes of boy or girl has Manglik Dosha, the other
one will die after marriage.
* If in the above case death will not take place, there
will be a lot of problems faced in the lifetime.
* If girl is a Manglik and boy is not a Manglik girl is
inauspicious even to her in-laws. Even one of the in-law
may also die
Gand Mool Nakshatra
Nakshatra ruled by Mercury and Ketu – Ashlesh, Mool,
Revati, Jyesth and Ashwani are called Gand Mool nakshatras.
If the natal Moon in the horoscope of a child is in one of
these Nakshatras, the child is said to be born in Gand
Mool Nakshatras. According to astrologer, child born in
these nakshatras is inauspicious and faces various
obstacles and problems in life, therefore on the 27th day,
pooja should be performed. Some are also of the view that
newly born child is inauspicious to the near relatives
like maternal uncle, father, mother etc. Some astrologers
have difference in views according to them – Mool,
Jyesth and Ashlesha are more inauspicious.’Jyotish
Tatwa’ states that starting 5 hours of Ashwini, magha
and Moola and ending 5 hours of Moola, Jyeshth and
Ashlesha are called “Gand Mool Nakshatrasâ€.
Some have the views that if the child is born in such
Nakshatras, it signifies death of cattle, bad by heart,
bad for maternal uncle, bad for elder brother, bad for
spouse, death of father and death of mother etc. Why will
these ill effects come into picture is not clear. These
ill effects are not mentioned in classical texts and not
even astrologers know about it. Six out of twenty seven
nakshatras are Gand Mool Nakshatras. This implies 20% of
the population of the world is inauspicious. Does this
mean other 80% population is auspicious. Our Nakshatra
remains for nearly 24 hours. Can it be believed that
inauspicious children will be born in these 24 hours.
Now let us understand what are the rules of the results of
planets in astrology. If a planet is benefic good results
are going to pass and its dasha will give good results.
Therefore if in a horoscope or for a native, Mercury or
Ketu are benefices and he/she is born in that Nakshatra,
these planets and their dasha will give good results. It
means we can not generalize the statement that if a child
born in Gand Mool Nakshatra always give bad results will
come to pass. This means if planets are malefic bad
results will come to pass. The Nakshatra of any other
planet can also be bad whereas that of Mercury and Ketu
good.
An infant born in Nakshatra of a Natural benefic say
Jupiter may die whereas millions of children born in Gand
Mool Nakshatra lead happy life from childhood. Some of the
people who born in the Gand Mool nakshatras and rose to
great heights in their lives are Jawahar Lal Nehru,
Mahatma Gandhi, Devanand etc.
Way for Gun Milan
Eight factors ‘Kuta’ are to be considered in order to
judge the stability for a proposed marital alliance. In
Gun Milan, the Nakshatra is considered of both boy and
girl. Surprisingly, the entire subject of Gun Milan hinges
on the position of Moon in the horoscope and not on birth
Horoscope. Our Nakshatra remains for 24 hours. Do all
people born in these 24 hours have similar characteristics
whereas the fact is twins are different. Marriage is one
of the most important event of the life. Horoscope
matching desires to consider all important events of lives
of both boy and girl.
* Longevity
* Education
* Mental Faculty
* Child Birth
* Separative Tendencies
* Health
Conclusion:
From research, it is seen that after having above 24
points in horoscope matching, a divorce, bickering,
tensions, confusions and arguments occurs in marital life
of couples while on other side, many couples who have less
than 18 points in horoscope matching are living happily
without any sort of problem in marital life. For matching
of horoscope the matching points written above should be
considered and ‘Gun Milan’ does not have right
approach over these points, therefore the method of Gun
Milan is not appropriate method of Horoscope Matching
during the marriage of boy and girl. KalSarpa Yoga This
Yog is said to be formed when all the planets are situated
between Longitude and Latitude of Rahu and Ketu. As the
name symbolize, the combination is considered very bad.
Precisely, what bad events are going to pass is not clear.
Kal Sarpa Yog does not find any place in classical texts.
In a democratic country like India, Prime Ministers like
Jawahar Lal Nehru and Indira Gandhi who enjoyed their
position and earned a lot of fame and status, they also
had this Yog in their horoscope. If a person having this
Yog can become most powerful person of country, how can
this Yog be considered bad. Conclusion: Results of the
Planets are experienced in the period of Planets and not
according to the combination of Planets like this
therefore not much importance should be given to this so
called KalSarpa Yog. |
